Well folks, we survived our week in Tasmania and made it to Melbourne! I think we told you most of our week's festivities but here's a quick summary!
Strahan: cowboy town with a nice beach but nothing to do. Talked about that one.
Cradle Mountain: got a little lost going there, oops! But we figured it out :). pretty mountain! Did some hiking through rainforests and saw the cutest wombats ever!! We also saw an echidna which looks like a porcupine and apparently is blind! He was very cute. In the morning it was only 6 degrees C!! Which is about 42 degrees F...so cold!
Bay of Fires: gorgeous beach with white sand, turquoise water, and red rocks!! This is the place where everything closes at 7pm. Yikes. Also...stayed in a not so great hostel tonite :(. Well it was fine but there were lots of rules...and a five minute shower limit! Let's be serious...girls need more than five minutes to shower! And the hostel owner came in and woke us up at 9 by opening all the shades and windows. Also, we think someone had an accident or something in the middle of the night because it was pretty stinky in the morning!! Gross!! But other than that it was clean so it could've been worse!
Freycinet National Park: hiked a small mountain to a lookout area where you could see Wineglass Bay...one of the best beaches in the world! So pretty! We wanted to hike down but it was a long hike and it was uphill through the woods...way too lazy for that. When we walked back to our car there were two kangaroos hopping around the parking lot! Crazy!
Tasmanian devil conservatory place: saw real Tasmanian devils!! They looked like piglets running around. They're called devils bc when you hold a lantern up to them, their eyes and ears look red! I guess a facial cancer is killing them off making them extinct. 90% of the population has died in the last 20 years...so sad :-(. They can crack bones with their teeth and they get fed meat and raw eggs!
This was also where we fed the kangaroos! They were just hopping around not in cages and came right up to you. So cool! Some even had babies in their pouches. We saw some koalas sleeping in the trees too...they spend 22 hrs a day sleeping!
That night we treated ourselves jand stayed in an apartment style hotel for the night. We had a REAL kitchen and a REAL shower with real towels and a king sized bed!! Slumber party!! We made ourselves some gnocchi for dinner and watched a movie. I even stayed awake for the whooole thing. Great date night!
Our final day we spent at Port Arthur which is where they sent the worst convicts from England. And by worse they mean the ones who stole bread from the grocery store instead of the ones who didn't pay their taxes.
And we went to the Tasmanian Golf Course...which I swear I read was one of the best golf courses in the world but I might have made that up. I'll have to do some research. And went to the Remarkable Caves (real original name) where I almost dropped the keys in the ocean...good thing the key was fat and got stuck in the holes on the ramp!
Oh! When we went to see the ocean caves and went down this road called Dog Bark road and guess what?? There was a CRAZY dog there!! This dog kept running up and jumping on the car and barking like he was possessed. We had to keep beeping to make him go away! Crazy!
Ok off to explore Melbourne!
Side note: To any creators of Removem reading this: is it possible to clear the entire board on every level? I'm obsessed!! High score is 756! That might not even be that high but I'm very proud of it!!

In reMovem you can clear the board in Basic & Slide modes only, and of course your best chance is to use only 4 colors. Glad you're playing it! We're enjoying your blog. Having a small Super Bowl party today. Hope you guys get to watch it, too!
